Operation Name: Psychopomp

Engagement Number: 8

Situation: In the previous engagement, SESO collected enough contraband to perform chemical analyses. While most of our technology is civilian, the chemical differences between narcotics are so prominent that they can found with common science class equipment. Additionally, SESO learned that the contraband was being created at lumber mills where the logs are imported, carved with new cavities, and filled with cocaine before shipment. We know the lifetime of the drug during its hiding and shipment, but we still do not know its source or destination. The logs are shipped by teamsters in the Triple Amenaza gang. Triple Amenaza and the Santa Luz Stars are collaborating in the drug trafficking business, forming one leg of the cartel on the entire island.

Believing to be the source of the cocaine, SESO found intel leading to a drug manufactory in the Pantalones de Gonzalo swamp. Inside the manufactory were more contraband yet packaged in blue cloth not found in our contrband. OPSCOM concludes this laboratory was a red herring, likely competing with the main trafficking trade between Triple Amenaza and the Santa Luz Stars, not supplying to it.

If we had captured Agustín Delgado during the Santa Luz military parade, we could fill the missing pieces in our intel and discover both the source and destination of the contraband. Instead, we have to rely on another source. The Sacerdote that traded us intel of the parade in exchange for a favour has offered us more intel. He believes a failed assault against Los Mineros left the Santa Luz Stars’ leader Delgado vulnerable and captured by some Stars traitors. Today, the Los Mineros leader Lean Alejandro, is boasting of his successful battle to his people, promising to raze the city of Santa Luz as revenge. The Sacerdote wants to avoid destruction of his hometown and asks SESO to act on this intel. It is odd that the Sacerdote is offering intel with no catch. However, we cannot miss an opportunity to capture both the leaders of the Santa Luz Stars and Los Mineros in a single engagement.

We will be taking advantage of Alejandro’s announcement to capture both leaders and destabilize our closest rivals. Additionally, their capture could lead us to more intel on the rest of the drug trafficking business.

Known enemy forces are the Santa Luz Stars, and Los Mineros.

The Santa Luz Stars are known for their expensive, powerful weapons and vehicles at the cost of body armor. They can be identified by their brown and black uniforms.

Los Mineros are former miners adept at guerilla tactics and constructing fortifications. They can be identified by their hard hats.

You start with a military covered Ural Transport and a civilian Undercover Bus. Both vehicles act as mobile spawnpoints that one can teleport to from FOB Gold. The bus will disguise any passengers as civilians.

FOB Gold is contructing supports that will aid in our operation. See the appropriate CSS personnel to know the full details of the supports. Below is a list of our supports and their status.
