Operation Osiris

"Nordwind"

Engagement: #9

Situation: S.E.S.O. has neutralized and taken the offshore islands much to the Russian contingents garrison, but while the CDF prepares its next offensive eyes have turned north.

After the events of S.E.S.O.'s last engagement a convoy carrying a CDF General and his staff had lost contact moving toward a CDF forward position. The last known CDF men to see them were those manning the checkpoint so S.E.S.O. has been instructed to speak to them first. There is little intel this side of the CDF line so S.E.S.O. will have to depend on civillian accounts or any clues they find on scene to lead them to the General. After finding the General S.E.S.O. is instructed to request EXFIL and leave the AO.

Mission: Find General Kustnesov and ascertain the status of his convoy.

Execution:

  1. Travel to CDF Checkpoint.
  2. Follow any clues given by checkpoint garrison or found within AO.
  3. Liberate General Kustnesov.
  4. EXFIL.

Intel:

There has been a change in the AO as S.E.S.O. now temporarily turns north. The North is known to be more stagnant and as such is more present with mines and air patrols from the nearby airport. As such, keeping a low profile is important after engagements if ChDKZ air assets want to be avoided.

The Composition of the enemy ChDKZ force consists of primarily Infantry and mechanized groups. The AA presence is light but MANPADs may be occasionally present so be wary with use of Lifeline 1-3 as CAS support.

S.E.S.O.'s squad composition has been slightly altered with their recent addition of the Javelins which were apparently captured from crates during the last engagement. In conjunction to this, JTAC in light of recent events has been finally given access to CDF assets for fire missions. This includes: Jupiter 1-3 and 2-4 artillery assets, as well as Lifeline 1-3 a Mi-24V attack helicopter. Ammo and uses are limited so they are to be used with discretion.

Lastly, zones marked in black within the AO are indicators of irradiated zones. These are lethal to anyone who enters without proper PPE, but should they be encountered it is recommended to deviate around them unless necessary.
