Operation Osiris

"Blue Hand"

Engagement: #8

Situation: As the MCSV is now ready S.E.S.O. has been greenlit for continued engagements. The focus of this next one being the Russian dominance over the sea and air around Chernarus' southern coast. Currently, Russian forces hold control over the largest port and largest air port in southern Chernarus. In addition to this they hold Chernorussian artificial islands created off the coast, along with the Chernorussian oil rig. Lastly, they have brought in their newly launched and high tech destroyer, the Admiral Panteleyev. All of these positions culminate into the Russians possessing an ability to travel the region with impunity and take down any CDF strikes by air or sea.

Off the coast are three positions; the oil Rig, helicopter port, and cargo port. These were created as a cash cow for the CDF but have since been siezed by the Russians. Despite what the Russians say it is believed the possession of these assets is a primary reason for their inolvement not their political excuse. So the CDF hopes to sieze back these assets, and destroy or imobilize the Admiral Panteleyev.

To do this S.E.S.O. will need to travel to the Chedaki hold-out in the south-west. In Kamenka there is believed to be boats that can be used to travel to the locations at sea. After taking these boats, S.E.S.O. will make their way to the cargo port while avoiding Russian sea and air patrols. The cargo port will be siezed and explosives that will be used later should be found there. After taking the explosives S.E.S.O. will detonate any Russian radar systems at the cargo port and choose whether or not to travel or dispatch a team to the Helicopter port. If they do they should detonate all vehicles at the cargo port and prevent a QRF from proceeding to the Oil Rig once the attack has begun.

Finally, S.E.S.O. can make their way to the Oil-Rig, eliminating the Russian garrison, and only when absolutely ready sending a go-ahead via the control tower on the oil rig. A CDF investigation of patrol paths and routes of Russian air assets has revealed that the Oil-Rig often gives a go-ahead message to a Mi-8 on board the Admiral Panteleyev to pickup fuel. Giving this same message should indicate the same Mi-8 to travel to the Oil Rig for a routine pick up. S.E.S.O. should replicate this with the transmission and wait for the Mi-8 to arrive, making sure not to kill the crew, but loading the Mi-8 with as many explosives as possible. Timers will need to be set due to activation distance, but once S.E.S.O. have put on the facade of the Russian garrison giving the Mi-8 fuel should tell them to head back. At which point the Mi-8 will make its way back to the Admiral Panteleyev, unknowingly placing the explosives right inside the destroyer as they count down till detonation. Herculues will be watching via drone to update you of the success or failure of the explosives to reach and detonate inside the destroyer. Only then will S.E.S.O. EXFIL when given a go ahead by command.

Mission: Sieze offshore Russian positions and immobilize the Admiral Panteleyev.

Execution:

  1. Eliminate Chedaki forces at Kamenka.
  2. Procure boats from Kamenka.
  3. Travel to and capture Russian cargo port.
  4. Detonate radar installiations.
  5. Optional, destroy QRF helicopters at Russian heli port.
  6. Capture Russian Oil Rig, send transmission.
  7. Load Mi-8 with explosives and hold Oil Rig.
  8. EXFIL when given the go ahead.

Intel:

Be careful of emissions, while the AO will not be in a irradiated zone there is still a necessity for gas masks in case of an emission.

The Composition of the enemy ChDKZ force consists of primarily Infantry but some light armor may be present. The AA presence is light but MANPADs may be occasionally present so be wary with use of Lifeline 1-3 as CAS support.

S.E.S.O.'s squad composition has been slightly altered with their recent addition of the Javelins which were apparently captured from crates during the last engagement. In conjunction to this, JTAC in light of recent events has been finally given access to CDF assets for fire missions. This includes: Jupiter 1-3 and 2-4 artillery assets, as well as Lifeline 1-3 a Mi-24V attack helicopter. Ammo and uses are limited so they are to be used with discretion.

Lastly, zones marked in black within the AO are indicators of irradiated zones. These are lethal to anyone who enters without proper PPE, but should they be encountered it is recommended to deviate around them unless necessary.
