Operation Osiris

"Downturn"

Engagement: #4

Situation: S.E.S.O. last engagement successfully completed all objectives. With the flash drive secured and the hornets nest kicked at Fort Altar a reaction was expected by the Chedaki. Instead, it seems the events of the 14th instead displaced several contingents of Chedaki forces as well as having an effect of new gamma radiation hotspots, deadzones, at prior Chedaki positions. With the success of the engagement the brass within the CDF appear to have been pleased, but nonetheless questioning had been done on the extent to which S.E.S.O. operatives explored fort Altar and what they saw. This questioning was done with haste and seems to have spawned no changes in S.E.S.O.'s contract.

After being extracted, the CDF announced their ambitions to shift some attention southward and S.E.S.O.'s involvement. Alpha has been relocated south west of fort Altar so the front. This is all in part of a series of operations to retake iniative within the southern region. Months ago the Chedaki were able to sieze southern port regions vital to CDF replinishment. These regions include the two towns of Kamenka and Komarovo. Both of these towns have an accompanying port which supplies were previously funneled into before their capture. As a result, the backup of arms and ammo was left all to Chedaki hands. The CDF have been launching probing attacks on the front but in order to both prepare for an upcoming assault and get a lay of the land they have called upon S.E.S.O. S.E.S.O. will be ascertaining any ammo trucks or moveable munitions left to a marked drop off point and their insertion will be through means of the river. Given that the hope is to test the strength of the reserves of the Chedaki and move in unnoticed from the main front S.E.S.O. has been advised to use the river as method of transporation. This should help avoid any outlying mine fields and enemy contingents that could prove dangerous otherwise.

Lastly, S.E.S.O. was approached by a repersentative of Kozlov asking for another impromptu meeting. They were asking for a favor, and in return a reward if S.E.S.O. would accept. What this favor is and what they hope to give is unknown. So it is up to S.E.S.O.'s own discretion whether or not it is worth pursuing.

Mission: Regain lost CDF ammo trucks and clear ports.

Execution:

  1. Move to Insertion Point and move south along the river.
  2. Meet with a repersentative from Kozlov. (Optional)
  3. Clear Port #1 and #2 as well as the Ammo cache.
  4. Take any ammo trucks or assets that can be moved to Ammo drop-off point.
  5. Return to friendly CDF forces at Zelenogorsk.

Intel:

The Composition of the enemy ChDKZ force consists of primarily Infantry and light mechanized groups. It is assumed heavier ordnance, armored groups, artillery batteries, and air assault assets will be tied up with remaining CDF forces on the beach or garrisoning locations to the east.

We have been told access to JTAC will be given upon commencement of the upcoming renewed CDF counter-attack.

Lastly, zones marked in black within the AO are indicators of irradiated zones. These are lethal to anyone who enters without proper PPE, but should they be encountered it is recommended to deviate around them unless necessary.
