BLUF: Capture Scientist Schumann. Destroy the Heavy Gustav Gun. Find more Adolf Hitlers.
Todt is nearly secured. During Bravo’s capture of the Zepplin factory, Delta captured a factory at Weingut II. The scientist The remaining German forces have huddled into the Northwest near Culebra I, defending their mastermind Bernhard Rust.
During the capture of Weingut II, Delta found and secured their scientist Werner Osenburg. Head of defense research, this cripples Germany’s chance at a final stand. For any conventional force, they would surrender than waste more lives. Yet their last scientist, Erich Schumann, wields a large artillery gun, the Heavy Gustav Gun, that prevents any approach by our forces. As the head of physics, he is likely to land his volleys. He and his Gustav Gun must be secured to finalize the end to this campaign.
OPSCOM has determined the best way to approach the Gustav Gun is by cover of counter-batteries. Our counter-battery mortars do not fire as far as the artillery gun. The best method of approach is by loading and redeploying the mortars as Bravo moves closer. The counter battery will deter the Gustav Gun from firing, granting Bravo time to clear nearby objectives.
The road under callsign SR 1 is deemed the best path to approach the Gustav Gun. However, the Germans have laid multiple CPs to prevent our approach. The mortars will need to be redeployed nearby each CP to grant Bravo clearance in the CP. When each OBJ and CP is cleared, the mortars may be loaded and deployed elsewhere.
Mission:
- Capture HVT Eric Schumann at OBJ Hawaii
- Secure CPs Apple, Butter, Charlie
- Find and secure intel in OBJ Miami
- Destroy Heavy Gustav Gun in OBJ Hawaii
Execution:
- Reach the Luftschiffbau Factory
- Load the mortars, mortar, and ammunition vehicle
- Reach Zone 3
- Unload and deploy the mortars in a safe space to start the counter battery
- Avoid incoming battery
- Repeat until you secure OBJ Miami and OBJ Hawaii
NOTE: Each time you approach a new zone, the mortars will have to be deployed within the new zone to start the counter battery again.
