Operation Name: Angola

Engagement Number: 10

Situation: The transition to FOB Haven is complete. OPSCOM is established again, and the camp expands with new amenities.

Since OPSCOM has considered the Mawties to be untrustworthy, SESO will be working with them cautiously. The latest request from the Mawt Nation has shown they are prepared for liberation again. Their sights set on the Tasmera, which have troubled us for a while. The guerillas are seemingly endless, repeatedly hiding in the jungles to prepare for their next attacks. The Mawties have been developing their own air force to counter this. Since the liberation of Kinsella and its airport, they have requisitioned 3 AH-1Z helicopters. Their strategy for capturing Tasmera is by bombing the jungle, ridding the guerrillas of any hiding spots. However, they lack competent pilots. They have requested SESO’s pilots in conducting these bombing runs using their AH-1Z helicopters. A sufficient demonstration of the helicopters’ capabilities should inspire the Mawties to utilize them for future engagements.

OPSCOM was initially planning to reject this request as it had no relevancy to SESO’s contract. Yet, a cursory glance at the map showed that a nearby PUB officer was stationed around Tasmera, separated from the rest of their platoon. The officer of the 64th East Molatian Maintenance Squad occupies the town of Kirabo. His squad makes up the sole maintenance unit of the 60th Molatian Company, made up of mostly armored platoons. If the officer is neutralized, the rest of the company will be easier to take on as they will have no dedicated engineers. OPSCOM agreed to the Mawt Nation’s request to attack Tasmera with the clandestine intent to use the helicopters against the 64th East Molatian Maintenance Squad.

Since SESO will be showing off their skills to the Mawties, it is crucial to conduct these runs ethically and efficiently. Within and around Tasmera are 4 towns with significant civilian populations. Safe zones (SF) have been marked on specific buildings where SESO will call air raid alarms, calling all nearby civilians to enter the marked building. When the civilians are cleared from the town, the surrounding area may be engaged without discrimination.

The Mawties will send for a rescue vehicle under callsign Romeo to acquire the civilians as soon as the alarm is called. Simultaneously, the Tasmeran guerillas will surround the alarmed town to engage SESO. Once the civilians are cleared from Tasmera, SESO may focus on aerial attacks across the region with no hesitation.

Enemy forces are the Bantus and the Tasmeran guerillas. Independent forces are the Mawties, who are making up Romeo.

Bantu forces are mostly infantry with motorized units. Bantus arm their vehicles and their rooftops with statics to better occupy objectives.

Tasmera, the South-Western region of Isla Duala, is home to the Tasmeran guerillas. They are known for their ambushes, whether by car or on foot. The desert expanse east of Kinsella is no longer patrolled by their motorized squads since the 9th engagement. When they attack, they utilize bells as signals and to harm the enemy morale.

The Mawties will be focused as the rescuers under callsign Romeo. There are Romeo 1, 2, and 3. One Romeo will send for the civilians as soon as the alarm is pulled. Subsequent Romeos will be available if the previous one is eliminated or unavailable.

3 AH-1Z helicopters will be available for pilots under callsign Angel. Any remaining, working AH-1Z helicopters will be added to FOB Haven's garage. Hotel 1 will provide their helicopter for Bravo. Hotel 2 will provide the UAV operator with thermal vision over the AO. A technical armed with an M2 machine gun and a technical armed with an SPG launcher are available in the garage. They may be slingloaded with Hotel 1.
